Stand with Cho! Tell Bush No!It is now clear that President Bush and the Republicans will use attacks against gays and lesbians as their 2004 election year strategy. This week, President Bush officially declared his support for the Federal Marriage Amendment -- a measure that would write discrimination into the United States Constitution. This is our year to fight back and be heard. If we stand united in 2004, we can protect our civil rights and liberties and protect the constitution from the hands of the far-right conservatives. That's why I want you to add your name along with mine to this petition -- it's time to stand up and be heard. Our goal is huge -- 500,000 signers by June -- Pride month. I want you to sign it and I want you to pass it to your friends. This is critical to our civil rights and liberties. Bush can't run on his record, so he'll work to divide Americans on wedge issues like same-sex marriage to ignite his failing campaign. What's worse -- he's willing to do it by darkening our Constitution with an amendment that forbids our rights instead of protecting them -- the only amendment to do so save Prohibition. All of our civil rights are at stake, and we must do everything we can to protect them. Let's start by showing them we are many, united, and will not be silent any longer. Please sign this petition today and join with the DNC in making our voices heard and defeating Bush in November. Sincerely, Margaret Cho Click here to take action today!

I think that regardless of what Kerry says on the issue, the gay community will still give him their vote (that is if one follows the logic that everyone will either vote Democrat or Republican)...he really is the lesser of two evils in this case...As far as any stance I would care to take, I'm definitely not against gay marriage...I mean, who am I to tell anyone else who they should spend their lives with? Love is love is love...simple yet complicated...all I know is that there are far more important issues to tackle than who is marrying whom and it does seem like Bush giving more attention to this issue simply to avoid other more important ones... Oh yeah...maybe someone should tell Dubya that the Constitution was drafted to ensure the rights of the populus not limit them...or does the preamble in his version read: quote: "We the <white, anglo-saxon, heterosexual>people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union <for white, anglo-saxon, heterosexual people>, establish justice<for white, anglo-saxon, heterosexual people>, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare <for white, anglo-saxon, heterosexual people>, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves <(the white, anglo-saxon, heterosexual people)>, and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
Dubya=bigot.
