Looks like we'll be moving...everything's on track with our loan and we should get our keys by the end of November! Guess I should start packing...

Here are some pics of the house progress as of late last month:

A Peek Into The Kitchen

The Upstairs Guest Bathroom

In the meantime, Caitlyn keeps getting bigger and bigger...she'll be five in January! She's entering Kindergarten readiness classes at her pre-school too...I wish they had Kindergarten readiness for parents ...it might help me cope with the fact that it was just yesterday that I was feeding her from a bottle and teaching her how to stand.

Additionally, my parents are retiring in a month and have bought a house here in the Sacto area...they've been in the same process we have over the past few month (buying a house) except for the fact that they don't really have to worry about qualifying for a loan...They're actually moving a majority of their stuff in this weekend...

Oh...and I'm an uncle again...my brother just had his second child, only 12 years after the first, but better late than never I guess. My older nephew is handling it pretty well and is actually a bit excited to have a little brother (he regards Caitlyn as more of a little sister than a cousin).

I thnik that's it for this update...I'm sure there's stuff I'm leaving out though...it's been a busy couple of months and it's only going to get more hectic for me as the holidays and the move approach...but I'll check in periodically for those of you who're still following the adventures of the Munkey family.

Cheers!

RJ - your house is, frankly, fucking swish. Nice!

Dang...that is a nice house. Wouldn't it be nice if a house stayed that clean and nice? Maybe you just shouldn't move anything into it...there's an idea!
I like the layout of the bathroom. I'm trying to convice my betterhalf that we should re-do our bathroom this winter, but we (read: he) re-did the kitchen last summer so he thinks he is done redoing things. He is sadly mistaken!
Anyway, updates...well, I think we have come to a big decision...we are done having children. It was a tough decision, but given all of the medical problems I had with the first 3 attempts, etc., we decided not to push our luck again. Plus, we for some dumb reason didn't do much traveling in our younger years and are now thinking that with just one kid, we can be a more mobile family and get out and see the world before it ends.
So, yeah. Also, I made a stretch and went as Marilyn Monroe for Halloween. You can see the pic on myspace page. http://www.myspace.com/28263095
I look like a bad drag queen. I wasn't meant to be a blonde.

Whee.

My second year of uni is well underway and so far no huge snags (although I totally misinterpreted an entire sentence on my French-to-English translation midterm this morning but I'm hoping the rest will make up for it).

Other than that, got rid of old sucky job and have been teaching at a business school (it's a school which has a three-year program to get a master's in business, so most of the students are about 21 - 25 or so). I'm really enjoying that job, as it's an educational environment and very close to my eventual goals to be teaching at a university. Whee.

That's it in terms of "real" changes. In not-so-impt changes, we bought a new couch. David is still pretty much the same... same job, etc. Getting ready for winter... have a feeling it's going to be a cold one this year. We'll see...

If today was anything to go by, it'll be cold, grey and wet. Much like my ideal woman.

e's got a granny fetish!

Just remember e, mature ladies = mature pension funds...there's no shame in being a boy toy, none whatsoever.

Anyway...

We went through our first walkthrough today, signed all the necessary paperwork and handed over our closing costs so the house should be officially ours on Monday the 27th...a bit delayed due to the Thanksgiving holiday but better late than never.

We have so much to do...gotta weed though our multitude of crap and pack...gotta get all the stuff set up in our name...gotta paint...and to top it all off, work is hitting a nice frenzied peak...but at least I'll be able to work overtime again so I can fund this lettle house buying venture without too much struggle.

This month's gonna be busy.

How busy?

Hella.
