Hey guys! I have had a crazy week so I thought i would share...
A good friend of mine from high school died in a car accident late last week and I went to the funeral early this week. It was really awful, but the only positive thing to come out of it was the fact that I re-connected with two old friends... my old roommate and the girl I was best friends with in high school. She and I had a major falling out the first year of college and haven't talked in about 10 years. Now, both of them are back in my life and it is strange because so much time has passed and we have missed so many important milestones in each other's lives (weddings, babies, etc.) It feels very strange, but it's cool.

Then, after several visits to the dr., we figured out after 5 months of a fussy baby that she has a dairy allergy. I'm glad we finally figures it out, but it would have been even better if we would have discovered it oh, i don't know, say, the day she was born!

Well, have a good weekend everyone...

Sorry to hear about your friend Jody...but like you said, it gave you an opportunity to reconnect with other friends so, although tragic, your friend's passing did allow for some good...

I've gotten a chance to spend some time with my "displaced" family lately...the core unit an I took a four day weekend last weekend and drove down to my parents in the Monterey Bay area (about a couple of hours south of San Francisco for those not in the CA)...anyway, my aunt (who we had not seen in a little over a year) also drove in from Las Vegas so we got a chance to have a little mini-reunion...Caitlyn got to spend a bit of time with her Great-Grandmother (who just turned 90 last month) and we all ate too much home cooking and had too much fun...a much needed break from the stresses that both myself and Aimée have been experiencing at work lately...

But as of Wednesday it was back to reality...

Oh man. Dairy allergies. My roommate developed that just recently. It's really really sad because she can't have ANY forms of lactose anymore, and just about everything has cheese, milk, cream, or some type of yogurty substance in it. She ends up having severe reactions and ends up feeling poopy (literally) and/ or throwing up the entire night. I think her doctor said it was lactose allergies and irritable bowel syndrome. Talk about sad.

Things on my end have been ok. Starting a new summer session class tomorrow... studying for the GREs... and desparately trying to figure out what I'm going to do after my last year of college. Eh. I really don't know which is better: to get a job after the academic year is over and work 9 to 5 and hate being grown up, or to go straight ahead and pursue my masters (most likely degree in public policy? Ehh?? Not sure about that one either.) Life is just kinda in limbo right now, and I need to do heavy research on which one is better for me. All I know is that I don't wanna go home after college and mooch off my parents and become a slob. Ugh.
