Is the IRQ share in conflict or not ?DO what they say (control panel ->system -> device ->USB controller (develop) -> double click on USB Universal Host controller (both of them if you have two), then click on "ressource".
It will display on the left : "Interruption Request" and on the right a number.
If there's a conflict, it will also tell you what is the device it's conflicting with.
Then tell us if there's a conflict or not.
In the "driver" thumbnail, look if your driver's been correctly set too.
(First, I suppose you've checked the wires (if it's a mere USB wire maybe you've got another, try to exchange them to see if it's better), checked the power, and checked that the hamster you smooshed in it to scan it hasn't rooten and poured streams of blood/spurt mix within the scanner )
