I'm actually trying to make an updated, better scaled 1:18 Devilfish. I've decided to start with a star wars A-wing and round off the front, trim the fins below, shape the fins on top, add some guns and missiles, etc.
I'm the furthest thing from a custom expert, as my customs usually involve simple head swaps. Still, I'm excited about working on this. If anyone has any ideas, feel free to chime in.

Dude, I've had the idea of turning a A-Wing into a Cobra speedboat for awhile now! We should do 2 versions, you the Joe and me the Cobra!

Great minds Like I said, I barely know what I'm doing. The serious customizers will laugh at my work, but I still think it'll be neat. I always felt like the Devilfish was a cool concept that didn't get executed properly. I'm sure it was budget or corporate mandate back in the day, but I want to do that vehicle right, crazy neon-orange and all.

I can paint and cut holes, but forget about custom fabrication with styrene. I say go for it nacho, you might find a hidden talent. I had no idea I could paint.

I have some ideas on the fabrication thing. I'm thinking about starting a 1:18 modification business and we might be able to do small accessories and vehicles too. Depends on how advanced we can get. Don't worry it has nothing to do with arts and crafts, no physical work will be involved.
