Score! I cant wait.. tick tock tick tock.

I just got the game last night...I haven't actually started playing it yet...I want to wait until I can really spend a lot of time immersing myself in the game...from what I hear there are so many plot twists and so much to do that it can get almost ovewhelming...I'll wait until I have a huge chunk of time to devote my life to it...until then I'm gonna keep playing Devil May Cry and THPS3 in the little amounts of time I do have...

Ok.. so it just came into my work about an hour ago (yeah yeah we're slow). So of course I rushed down to pick it up. Anyway, im home now, I just watched the intro. And..

Fuck man. FUCK man. FUCK. That intro made me cry, it was so beautifully done. The music, the visuals.. the.. everything. I havent even started the game yet and I think its the best game I've seen all year, nay all my gaming life. Fuck.

If you could simulate an orgasm with a video game, this would be it. This game is perfection (so far..). Jesus H. Christ. Everyone needs to play this game, nay you need to experience this.. well, experience.

Say hello to Metal Gear Solid: 2, say goodbye to your social life.

Rj.. bring up the child to love and respect the Metal Gear series

.. time to submerge. Adios!

Well.. I dont know why you are all so quiet..

But I for one am ready, and willing, to say that Metal Gear Solid 2 is the best game, nay, the best experiance I have ever had on any platform, any system, at any time. Ever.

Seriously, it is THAT good. The storyline had me gripped tighter than most hollywood movies. There were a few times where it actually made me stand up and shout in disbelief.

This is so much more than just a game, Hideo Kojima has created a masterpiece, something that has to be experianced. Ive tried explaining MGS2 to my friends who do not have PS2's and its just not the same, you have to live, breath and enjoy MGS2. The trailer still does it for me, every time.

The only down side is that this was Kojima's last Metal Gear game.. no more.

Solid Snake did die. But he is also here. Either he is alive, or there are two of them.

I can't possibly see them not making a movie out of this. This was unbelievable in every aspect. I'll have to admit that I never saw the first MGS, but my roomate filled me in enough to take in this story, and it blew my mind. School? I didn't really pay attention to it.

Paul, you did watch past the credits, right?

Yes. It practically already is a movie, if they filled in all the game parts and put it in a nice THX theatre I'd shell out $8.50 to go see it, and see it about 900 times I would. Though I think the plot would be WAY too complicated for most movie-goers.

Fuck. The game is just so.. so.. so something I cant even describe. Sure its got some cheesy meanings and silly dialog, but god damn if it gets any better than Snake and Otacon hugging.. its news to me. This is really one of the only games to elicit so much emotion from me, constantly, over the (about) 16-17 hours playing time.

Sigh. I really almost wish the game was not over, its one of those things you wait for impatiently as hell then when its over you wish it had only just begun.

AS for MGS3.. I heard this was the last Metal Gear game for Kojima. He said it himself.. so who knows, its obviously a seller title, but those wacky Japanese like to keep things artistic and not "sell out". So who knows. Personally I'd love a new adventure with Snake, he's just so god-damn cool.

Once again, everyone needs to play this game.

From what I understand, there will be more games with this style and thematic elements...however, they won't be titled Metal Gear or mention Solid Snake in the title...the series will continue...just not under the same moniker...they'll be different but the same...

Score. There's no way they can't continue. Just based on that last 2 minutes of dialogue after the credits, there has to be a hunt down for the Patriots coming sometime in the future. Altough, I have to wonder if it will be out of context with a possible new maker to the (supposed) conclusion of the story. But if you ask me, this is not the end of the story, just the end to Raiden's/Jack's part.

And with the movie thing, I'd pay $27 for the trilogy viewing at any theater with THX booming in it. Hell, 3 might not even be enough.

yea i beat it last night, i played it for like 10 hours over 3 days, spaced it out really nicely. i still think the opening sequence is one of the best i have ever scene, beats out FF8 which i thought was badass. the sword element was fuckin awesome. it's also not good to have to piss wicked bad right when you enter the end, cause there is fuckin close to an hour of video/codec sequences.

so what level did everyone play it on? i played normal and didnt find it all that challenging. ill play it again, fuckin awesome game
