it's quite scary (and sad), but I was looking through makeoutclub.com with some friends to make fun of the people, and I saw some people I actually know! I couldn't stop laughing, it was so horribly funny, I almost felt bad for them. Ah, good times.

Do you guys know anyone on that site? Anyone a regular on there? or do you guys have a little "personal ad" on there as well? 'fess up now so that you aren't humiliated later.

Meh..i never use it..but then again i have never taken it off...blah..i am lazy

I was on there from February until sometime last month. I deleted my profile... it was kind of pointless I think, I only met really two people through the site and mostly I just got junk e-mail about shows and to check out bands and the like. And I'd get random IM's from guys saying "You're hot"... that was amusing. But then one day I got an IM from some dude saying I was hot, and he told me to check out a link to his "photography site"... which linked me to a page containing nothing more than a picture of a naked black man holding a sign that said "I fuck on the first date". I'm not kidding, either. Then I decided it was time to take my profile down. I'm not ashamed to say that I was up there for a time, but it was pretty dumb overall and almost like a waste of my time to begin with.

However, it is fun to browse through the site and find people you know. I've done that so many times, and I find friends, or kids I know from shows, or even members of local bands on there. It's funny yet somewhat sad at the same time. My theory is, once most people have been on there a while, they will see how stupid it really is, or get sick of the pathetic people that IM them from it and eventually remove themselves, as I did.

i actually went there a couple weeks ago and looked through the people from my city to see if i knew any of them. unfortunately (or maybe fortunately?) i didn't find anybody i knew.

i guess all the kids i know aren't "cool" enough to be on moc.

im not on it, but i occasionally look there for shits and giggles. some of the guys are hot, so i just like looking at their pics. plus, i just enjoy laughing at some of the people on it...makes me realize that there are some people lamer than me.

the closest aussie version of moc, i guess is picturepoll.com. But its far more entertaining, given that a) half the victorian chicks go to my school, b) most of the photos consist of 13 year olds covered in cheap camel tops slithering against a wall. uh, sexy.

What's frightening about Wang Out Club is the guy that does that site... the black dude in the first profile of the Bros section... I JUST saw that guy on Friday night at a Bane/Reach The Sky/Glasseater show out on Long Island. Some of my friends know him and he's from the NJ/Philly area, so what he was doing all the way out here is beyond me.

Edit: Actually, now that I look more through the WOC site, it seems as if in the guys' section, mostly it appears to be friends of Jarrett (the guy who does the site). I recogize a lot of those guys, some I know, some I've just seen at shows... they're mainly from the NJ hardcore scene. Weird.
